Ophelia could be the East Coast's latest storm this weekend | Hurricane Hunt

The National Hurricane Center is monitoring a low pressure system near the East Coast that could become Ophelia this weekend. Even if it doesn’t become a named storm, Lee Weather Team Meteorologist Joe Martucci says flooding rain, coastal flooding, beach erosion and winds will be likely from South Carolina to New York Friday through Sunday.

Another storm near the Cape Verde Island off Africa may near the East Coast late next week.
