UVa Chamber Music Series to blend harp, violin, oboe and more this Sunday

The University of Virginia Chamber Music Series will present a variety of mixed chamber ensembles at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Cabell Hall Auditorium.

Violinist Dan Sender and harpist Anastasia Jellison will perform Camille Saint-Saëns’ “Fantasie for Violin and Harp, Op. 124.”

Jellison will team up with flutist Kelly Sulick and violist Ayn Balija to perform Claude Debussy’s “Sonata for Flute, Viola and Harp.”

Balija will present Hillary Tann’s “The Walls of Morlais Castle” with oboist Kelly Peral and cellist Adam Carter.

Performing Francis Poulenc’s “Sonata for Horn, Trumpet and Trombone” will be Max McNutt on trumpet, Nathaniel Lee on trombone and Cody Halquist on horn.

The UVa Chamber Music Series, directed by Jiyeon Choi, unites UVa performance faculty members and distinguished guests to present six concerts of new and traditional chamber works.

Tickets are $15; UVa faculty and staff members pay $13. Students pay $5. Admission is free for students younger than 18 and for UVa students who reserve tickets in advance.
