Wayne Theatre plans ribbon-cutting event for new arts education space

Theater fans in Waynesboro can attend a ribbon-cutting event at noon Wednesday to help open the Nancy K. Stubblefield Arts Education Center at Wayne Theatre.

The new official home space for Studio Wayne will be unveiled at 521 W. Main St. in downtown Waynesboro. Activities will include lunch and an opportunity to win tickets to Wayne Theatre events.

Visitors are asked to park behind the building and enter through the back entrance.

Studio Wayne provides a variety of arts education activities for young performers, including training in acting, improv comedy and stagecraft. Upcoming productions will include "Finding Nemo Jr." and "Zombie Prom."
