The Wine Lovers 5K, scheduled for Feb. 10, will begin and end at Cardinal Point Winery in Afton.
The run, which marks its 10th anniversary this year, begins at 9 a.m. Feb. 10 and treats participant to picturesque views of Nelson County. Packet pickup is set for 8 to 8:45 a.m.
Walkers, people pushing all-terrain strollers and dogs are welcome.
The registration fee is $45 until Feb. 9; it increases to $50 on Feb. 10. Runners receive an event shirt, a commemorative finisher glass and an outdoor post-race party with music, awards and wine.
Participants who sign up before Sunday are guaranteed event shirts. There’s a new option this year for runners who don’t want shirts; skipping the commemorative top lops $5 off the registration fee. Some extra shirts will be given out at packet pickup, based on participants’ dates of registration.
Registration is available for teams and families. If you sign up as a team, keep in mind that the largest team and the team with the best costumes will win bottes of Cardinal Point wine.
