Two adults are dead and a teenager is seriously injured after a car crash on James Madison Highway south of Gordonsville Tuesday morning.
The deceased have been identified as 57-year-old Kenneth Justino Rowley of Louisa and 45-year-old Wade Lee Dickinson of Gordonsville.
Eighteen-year-old Kaleb Reese Dickinson was hospitalized with serious but non-life-threatening injuries after the wreck.
According to Virginia State Police, the collision occurred around 4:05 a.m. Tuesday on the 4600 block of James Madison Highway.
Police said Rowley, behind the wheel of a 2002 Mazda sedan, was headed north on the highway when his car crossed the centerline and struck the Dickinson’s 2001 Toyota Corolla head-on. Wade Dickinson was driving the car, and Kaleb Dickinson was in a passenger seat, according to police.
Rowley was wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, but the elder Dickinson was not, police said.
The crash remains under investigation.
