Crozet man charged with Sunday shooting that injured 1

A Crozet man is in custody after a Sunday afternoon shooting in the western Albemarle County village hospitalized one.

Roger Lamb, 35, has been charged with malicious wounding and the use of a firearm in commission of a felony.

Albemarle County police were dispatched around 3 p.m. Sunday to reports of shots fired in the 5500 block of Doyles Side Lane in Crozet.

“Upon arrival, officers located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound,” the police department said in a statement. “The victim was transported to UVA Health in serious but non-life-threatening condition.”

Lamb was taken into custody and booked at the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail, where he remains held without bond.
