Charlottesville drivers should expect some delays on Ivy Road this weekend.
Construction work will be occurring within the westbound lanes of Ivy Road west of Copeley Road between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. Friday through Sunday.
Traffic lights will be temporarily deactivated, lanes will be closed and a flagging operation will be in place during the work.
The city advises motorists to avoid the area if possible and to move through the work zone with caution and wait to be flagged through.
