A man is in custody after authorities say he was running a real estate scam in Orange County.
Brian Reeves was served five warrants last Saturday for obtaining money under false pretenses.
Investigators arrested Reeves after discovering a “real estate scam involving the fraudulent sale of a residence located off Route 3 in Orange County,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement.
Anyone who believes they may have been a target of the scam is encouraged to contact the Orange County Sheriff’s Office at (540) 672-1234.
Reeves is being held without bond at the Central Virginia Regional Jail in Orange.
