The man who escaped from Western State Hospital this past week has been found and taken into custody.
The Staunton Police Department reported 30-year-old Yassine Ismaili had escaped from the mental hospital in the city Wednesday evening.
The police reported Thursday Ismaili was in custody.
Western State, formerly the Western State Lunatic Asylum, is a hospital for the mentally ill in Staunton. It has been in operation since 1828.
