A shooting Tuesday night in Charlottesville’s Fifeville neighborhood left one injured and the police hunting for a suspect.
Charlottesville police said they responded to the scene at 726 Prospect Ave. around 7:09 p.m.
"Upon arrival, they located a gunshot victim at the scene suffering non-life-threatening injuries," the police department said in a statement issued roughly an hour after officers responded to the scene.
Neighbors Tuesday night were told to expect a heavy police presence in the area while officers worked the scene.
