Two Orange County men were killed Friday in a single-vehicle crash in the county involving an all-terrain vehicle, police said.
Virginia State Police spokesman Matthew Demlein said a 2024 Yamaha Wolverine Side-by-Side was heading north on Tower Road near the intersection of Col. Drake Lane about 10:40 p.m. when it went off the right side of the road while trying to make a turn, struck a tree and rolled over.
Both the driver, former Spotsylvania resident Jesse A. Powell Jr., 33, and his passenger, 25-year-old Kelton T. Carter of Locust Grove, died at the scene.
Demlein said neither man was wearing a seat belt.
The crash is being investigated by state police.
