Fairfax man in custody after bomb threat at Locust Grove Walmart

A Fairfax man faces multiple charges after authorities say he threatened to bomb the Locust Grove Walmart this past weekend.

Abbas Zainulabdeen Al Saadi, 45, has been charged with threatening to bomb or burn property and trespassing.

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office reported Sunday that a middle-aged, Middle Eastern man had reportedly threatened to bomb the Walmart at 2533 Germanna Highway just outside the Lake of the Woods gated subdivision.

A day later, the sheriff’s office reported that Al Saadi had been identified as the suspect and was in custody.

Al Saadi remains in custody at Central Virginia Regional Jail in Orange, where he is being held without bond.
