A shooting just north of Charlottesville city limits Friday night left one vehicle damaged but not signs of other property damage or injuries.
Neighbors are being asked to review home surveillance footage for anything that might assist the police in their investigation.
Albemarle County officers were dispatched around 8:06 p.m. to a report of multiple shots fired around the 2400 block of Peyton Drive, an apartment-heavy are north of the city’s Meadows neighborhood.
“First responders arrived five minutes later and located a single vehicle with property damage, but no injuries were reported,” the police department said in a statement.
Neighbors are encouraged to look over their home surveillance footage for anything that might assist in the investigation. Footage can be emailed to the anonymous Crime Stoppers tip line at crimestoppers@albemarle.org.
