Charlottesville police are investigating gunshots fired in the city’s 10th & Page and Ridge Street neighborhoods in the early morning hours Saturday.
No injuries were reported, and neither of the reports came from addresses near the popular Tom Tom Festival on the Downtown Mall, which was hosting its annual block party late into Saturday night.
No suspect has been identified.
Charlottesville police were first dispatched around 1:30 a.m. to reported gunshots in the 800 block of Hardy Drive in the 10th & Page neighborhood.
"No injuries have been reported," police said in a statement, "and two buildings were found to be struck."
Within two hours, officers were dispatched to more gunshots reported in the 1000 block of South First Street in the city’s Ridge Street neighborhood.
No property damage was reported at the scene of the Ridge Street gunfire.
Both incidents remain under investigation.
