Albemarle County authorities are asking for the public’s assistance tracking down a man caught on camera holding up the Trading Post gas station in the Red Hill area Monday night.
No physical description of the man has been provided, as he was wearing a black hoodie, mask and gloves at the time of the robbery.
Albemarle County police were dispatched to the Trading Post at 3017 Monacan Trail Road around 8:50 p.m. Monday.
By the time they arrived the suspect had already fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash taken from the gas station’s till.
Police said they were told "the suspect entered the store and produced a firearm while demanding cash."
There were no injuries to report at the scene.
Police are circulating a still image taken from a surveillance camera at the time of the reported robbery.
