Authorities looking for man, 2 children witnessed stealing from Orange County gas station

Orange County authorities are asking for the public’s assistance tracking down a man and two children accused of stealing from a local gas station.

The adult man was seen entering the Sheetz in Locust Grove along with two children, between the ages of 7 and 10, last Monday.

"The adult was observed pocketing medicine, while the juveniles stole toys and candy and then left without paying," the Orange County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement.

The trio left the scene in a 2014 Dodge Ram with Virginia plates reading TMF-4934.

"The license plate did not provide any pertinent details to the investigation," the sheriff’s office said.

The sheriff’s office is circulating still images taken from surveillance cameras in the area showing the adult man and the vehicle.
