Charlottesville police are investigating gunshots fired late Monday night near the Kindlewood housing complex downtown.
There were no injuries or property damage reported.
Officers were dispatched around 11:49 p.m. to a report of gunshots in the area of 665 Sixth St. SE.
A crime scene was established and the 600 block of Sixth Street Southeast was briefly shut down.
Police have not publicly identified a suspect or motive.
