Charlottesville vaccine fair offers adults, children chance to catch up

A Charlottesville community vaccine fair set for 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 26 at Burley Middle School will offer adults and children an opportunity to catch up on needed immunizations.

Available vaccines will include flu, COVID, tetanus, HPV, meningococcal, RSV, hepatitis B and Tdap. Drive-through flu shots and COVID boosters will be available for adults who prefer to stay in their vehicles.

Preregistration guarantees a vaccine, but walk-ins are welcome. To register, go to tinyurl.com/bdhyu2f2.

Transportation will be available for city residents and others living within a 10-mile radius. Rides need to be requested 48 hours in advance; select “Need Transportation” on the registration form.

The event is sponsored by the University of Virginia Latino Health Initiative, UVa Health Pharmacy and UVa Health Office of Diversity and Community Engagement.
