Firefighters forced to open walls of house during fire in Orange

A house fire in the town of Orange caused considerable damage last Friday.

There were no injuries to report at the scene. And while a cause was not immediately discernible, an investigation is underway.

Firefighters responded to a reported house fire on Belleview Avenue late Friday afternoon.

Firefighters said they had to open the walls of the residence in order to contain the fire and extinguish it.

Fire crews from Orange Volunteer Fire Company were assisted by Mine Run Volunteer Fire Company, Orange Fire & EMS, Rapidan Volunteer Fire Department and Barboursville Volunteer Fire Company.
