A Fredericksburg man has been charged with trespassing and stalking after he was found lying on the porch of an Orange County residence this past weekend.
Michael Wayne Willingham, 22, was taken into custody and booked at Central Virginia Regional Jail in the town of Orange on Sunday. He remained in custody there without bond as of Monday.
Willingham was found lying on the porch of a residence in the county where he had previously trespassed, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy responding to a suspicious person call confronted Willingham and the “situation quickly escalated,” the sheriff’s office said in a statement issued Monday.
Willingham was charged with misdemeanor trespassing and felony stalking, his second such offense in five years.
He is awaiting an appearance in Orange County court.
