Greene County authorities say a wanted man has been taken into custody after a search that ended in Louisa County Friday.
Caeleb J. Walker now faces multiple new charges after the pursuit.
A sergeant with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office said they performed a traffic stop on Walker Friday.
“Upon checking Walker’s information, it was found that he had an outstanding Felony Warrant out of another jurisdiction,” according to a sheriff’s office statement. “Walker, in his mother’s car, thought it was a good idea to flee from the traffic stop.”
The sergeant said he gave chase, but determined, given Walker had already been identified and keeping the community’s safety in mind, it was best to terminate the chase.
Walker was later found and taken into custody at a Louisa County residence without incident, authorities said.
He now faces three charges in addition to the unnamed crime he is suspected of perpetrating in another jurisdiction: eluding law enforcement, obstruction of justice and reckless driving.
